The Pecos Valley Grotto was established as a local chapter of the National Speleological Society (NSS) in 1958. We are currently based in Carlsbad, NM. 

Our mission is to promote interest in and to advance in any and all ways the study and science of speleology, to promote the protection of caves and their natural contents, and to promote fellowship among those interested therein.

The Pecos Valley Grotto typically meets the third Thursday of every month at 7:00 pm at the National Cave and Karst Research Institute, 400-1 Cascades Ave, Carlsbad, NM 88220, but this may be subject to change. Please check our calendar under Upcoming Events for meeting information.

The meetings consist of club-related business, trip reports, caving news and an educational program. All are welcome to attend. We hope to see you at the next one!
