Millions of acres in southeastern New Mexico are managed as Federal public lands providing locals and visitors with abundant opportunities for recreation including caving. In addition to recreation, these public lands offices also offer volunteer opportunities. Pecos Valley Grotto members have contributed thousands of hours of volunteer work to these agencies over the years, fostering a strong relationship between the grotto and these local public lands offices.
